Inspired by Vegeta’s Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan transformation, this collectible combines the recognizable appearance of one of Dragon Ball Super’s most determined warriors with a glow-in-the-dark feature designed to make the figure stand out in a display.
Whether you’re building a Dragon Ball Funko Pop collection, searching for a Vegeta-themed gift, or looking for a standout anime figure for your shelf, the SSGSS Vegeta GITD offers a combination of recognizable character styling and display appeal.
Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta – A Transformation Worth Collecting
Vegeta’s Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan transformation, commonly known as Super Saiyan Blue or SSGSS, represents his mastery of divine Saiyan power.
Unlike his traditional golden-haired Super Saiyan appearance, this transformation features distinctive blue hair and an intense visual identity associated with powerful battles throughout Dragon Ball Super.
The Funko Pop SSGSS Vegeta design celebrates this transformation through the stylized proportions and recognizable character features associated with Funko’s collectible figures.
For Dragon Ball fans, this version of Vegeta represents more than a costume change. It highlights his determination to improve, compete with Goku, and push his abilities beyond previous limits.
Glow in the Dark Feature for Anime Displays
One of the main attractions of the SSGSS Vegeta GITD Funko Pop is its glow-in-the-dark design.
GITD stands for “Glow in the Dark,” a collectible feature that allows specially treated portions of a figure to emit a visible glow after exposure to light.
This adds another dimension to displaying the figure, especially for collectors who enjoy combining their anime merchandise with display lighting, themed shelving, or character collections.
How to Display a Glow in the Dark Vegeta Figure
For an effective collectible display:
- Place the figure where its details are clearly visible under normal lighting.
- Expose the glow-treated areas to a suitable light source before viewing them in darkness.
- Use a darkened room to better appreciate the glowing effect.
- Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which may affect collectible finishes and packaging.
- Position Vegeta alongside other Dragon Ball Super figures for a transformation-themed collection.
Glow intensity and duration may vary depending on lighting conditions, exposure time, and the glow-treated material.
Why Dragon Ball Collectors Choose SSGSS Vegeta
Vegeta has remained one of the most recognizable characters in the Dragon Ball franchise because of his evolving personality, rivalry with Goku, and commitment to becoming stronger.
The SSGSS transformation is particularly meaningful to fans who follow his development throughout Dragon Ball Super.
This collectible appeals to several types of fans:

Funko Pop SSGSS Vegeta GITD vs. Standard Vegeta Figures
Not every Vegeta collectible depicts the same transformation or offers the same visual effects.
Traditional Vegeta figures may feature his base form, classic Saiyan armor, or earlier Super Saiyan transformations.
The SSGSS Vegeta design instead focuses on the blue-haired transformation introduced in Dragon Ball Super.
The glow-in-the-dark feature provides an additional display characteristic that distinguishes GITD versions from comparable non-glowing collectibles.
Collectors comparing Vegeta figures should also examine the specific release, product number, packaging, and edition information to identify the version they want.
Collecting and Caring for Your Vegeta Figure
Maintaining an anime collectible properly can help preserve its appearance over time.
Display considerations: Choose a stable shelf or display area away from excessive heat, moisture, and prolonged direct sunlight.
Cleaning: Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove surface dust. Avoid abrasive cleaning tools and harsh chemicals.
Packaging: If maintaining the original box is important to your collection, handle it carefully and store it away from moisture and crushing pressure.
Glow maintenance: Charge the glow-treated portions with light when you want to view the effect. Keep the collectible away from excessive heat or unsuitable lighting equipment.
Collector identification: Retain information about the figure’s exact edition, packaging, and release details for future reference.
